Few chances remain to be part of Veranda’s story

Several move-in-ready options will be available in coming months in one of Charter’s most established and sought-after neighborhoods

It’s not often you can own a brand-new home in an established neighborhood of tree-lined streets and walking paths — all surrounded by beautiful farmland.
But it is possible in Veranda, one of Charter Homes & Neighborhoods most established and sought-after neighborhoods, in East Hempfield Township .
Like all neighborhoods Charter creates, The Great American Neighborhood® Veranda is designed to embrace and incorporate the open space from which it came.
Incorporating the story of the land and the rich history of its surroundings, Veranda is a neighborhood as unique as the people who call it home. It is a neighborhood designed with purpose and created with a story — a story that Veranda’s homeowners can be proud to share in the story they tell about themselves.
But this decade-old neighborhood of sweeping farmland views and award-winning home designs is down to its final homes. So only a few opportunities remain to become a part of Veranda’s story.
Part of that story is how the neighborhood has maintained its bucolic setting with a thoughtful incorporation of open green space connected by walking trails.
Veranda’s amenities include the neighborhood park, Playlanda, as well as Getz’s Green, and the smaller Forry Lawn and Middle Green — three centrally located outdoor spaces that serve as gathering places for neighborhood events, relaxation and play.
Although Veranda seems far removed from the hustle and bustle, it is only minutes from routes 30 and 283, and Park City Center.
The remaining home designs in Veranda are as varied as the people that call the neighborhood home. There are ready now homes scheduled for completion in the coming months.
For homebuyers looking for a first-floor owner’s suite, two Dillon models are available, one in September and the other in October. Both offer maintenance-free living, so this could be your last summer laboring in the yard.
Both Dillons have three bedrooms and two and a half baths, vaulted ceilings, walk-in closets, hardwood flooring on the first floor, granite countertops and a second-floor loft area.
One of them also features an outdoor veranda.
Both at around 2,400 square feet, they are priced at $398,990 and $399,990.
Also scheduled for completion in October is a four-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bath Wellesley. One of Charter’s most popular floor plans, the Wellesley design was selected by the National Association of Home Builders’ Design Committee to receive the Best in American Living Gold Award. This award recognizes the Wellesley as a best single-family home design in the country.
The Wellesley in Veranda features 3,615 square feet of living space, including a formal dining room and living room, breakfast area, study and mudroom off the three-car garage. It also has a great room addition, an upgraded gathering island in the kitchen and hardwood flooring throughout the first floor.
The Wellesley is priced at $649,990.
Scheduled for completion in December, the two-story Springfield will include a garden room addition and a gourmet kitchen upgrade. The home will have four bedrooms, three and a half baths and a three-car garage.
With 3,076 square feet of living space, the Springfield is priced at $569,990.
Veranda is located in the Hempfield School District. It is now selling out of Charter’s Grandview neighborhood.  To learn more or to tour the home sites, visit the Grandview home store, 1101 Esbenshade Drive, or call 800-325-3030 for detailed directions.
