Traditional Marietta neighborhood has a few opportunities remaining to build, plus a new quick-move-in home coming later this summer
If you enjoy the neighborly feel of a small town, then look no further than Castleton, Keystone Custom Homes’ Traditional Neighborhood Community in Marietta.
Castleton not only has the small-town look, it has the playground, swimming pool and pizza shop, too.
This town within a town is a throwback to simpler times. No two homes are alike, and all come with porches, architectural shingles and shutters or wide-trim that exude a small-town charm.
The community itself, a mix of 187 single-family homes and 44 townhomes, is designed with that small-town feel. There are three parks (including two with playgrounds), walking trails, and a clubhouse with a pool that homeowners can join for a fee.
Castleton also has numerous annual gatherings to foster that sense of community, from an Easter egg hunt to a neighborhood barbecue.
Not surprisingly, there are only a handful of opportunities remaining to become a part of the Castleton community.
There are a few home sites left for those who want to build. Four estate floor plans are available, ranging in size from 1,790 square feet to 2, 594 square feet, and seven manor floor plans are available ranging in size from 1,344 square feet to 2,329 square feet
To explore some of the many design possibilities, visit Castleton’s model home, a manor-style home with the Wyndham Traditional elevation.
Winner of seven awards in the 2015 Parade of Homes, including best of show, the Wyndham includes four bedrooms, two and a half baths, a full basement, two-car garage and more than 2,300 square feet of living space.
Among its features are a classic kitchen with granite countertops, maple cabinets, an 8-foot island and stainless steel appliances, including a gas range and built-in microwave.
The family room includes a Kennedy gas fireplace. There are hardwood floors throughout the first floor.
The second-floor owner’s suite, features a spacious walk-in closet, and a Venetian bath with large, walk-in tiled shower, soaking tub and tile floor. Three additional upstairs bedrooms each have walk-in closets and share a full bath.
The laundry is also located on the second floor.
In addition to the available home sites, a quick move-in home in the Wyndham Heritage design will be ready in August, just in time for the start of the school year.
Castleton is in the Donegal School District. Homes start in the $200s.
The model home, at 619 Shadetree Blvd., is open from noon to 6 p.m. today, 1 to 6 p.m. Monday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Friday and Saturday.
