Now in its final phase, scenic EGStoltzfus neighborhood on outskirts of Manheim has move-in-ready homes, customizable floor plans available
Brian and Whitney Albrecht moved to Barons Ridge in Penn Township on one of the coldest days of the year this past winter, but they have nothing but warm thoughts about their new home and neighborhood.
The EGStoltzfus community off White Oak Road on the outskirts of Manheim overlooks Manheim Central Middle School — and the Albrechts’ old neighborhood.
“We used to say, “Oh, it would be great if we could build a house over there someday,” Whitney recalls. “Luckily, someday came.”
Now in its final phase, Barons Ridge will have 103 single-family homes when complete. The terrain makes the neighborhood visually interesting, notes new home sales specialist Craig Smoot. The elevation naturally staggers the height of the homes and affords scenic countryside views.
The Albrechts, who have two young sons, Grayson, 4, and Declan, 2, say they like the fact that Barons Ridge is out of town, but also close to town at the same time.
The neighborhood is connected to the school campus by a walking trail. It’s not only close to the center of Manheim and the nearby Manheim Shopping Center, but it’s also an easy drive to Lititz.
A native of Manheim, Whitney appreciates the sense of community that comes from living in a small town. And she also appreciates the fact that Barons Ridge, much like a small town, has a mix of neighbors — from young families like their own to older, retired couples.
With floor plans ranging from just over 1,200 square feet to 2,550 square feet, Barons Ridge is suited to those looking to downsize, those who need more space — and anyone in between.
“Buyers have a lot to choose from to suit their needs,” says new homes sales specialist Stephanie Lachance, adding that EGStoltzfus is known for its willingness to work with homebuyers to personalize their homes
There are currently 25 home sites remaining in Barons Ridge, but buyers also have several move-in options — all featuring final phase close-out pricing — including the Jameson model home, now for sale, at 633 Hamaker Road.
The two-story, four-bedroom Jameson features a spacious kitchen with 6-foot island and walk-in pantry, an open dining area and a family room with gas fireplace.
Upstairs, the master suite includes a walk-in closet and private bath with double-bowl vanity and shower. Three additional bedrooms share a family bath that includes a door separating the vanity area from the shower and commode for added privacy.
The Jameson is priced at $288,000.
Also move-in-ready is the Singleton, a ranch home at 697 Hamaker Road.
The Singleton features three bedrooms, two baths and a covered porch. It is priced at $229,000.
And for those who want to personalize their home, EGStoltzfus will be building a two-story Adams at 601 Hamaker Road in the near future at a special price of $199,900.
The standard Adams floor plan includes three bedrooms, one and a half baths and a two-car garage. Since construction has not yet begun, buyers still have the opportunity to customize the home to their personal tastes.
Or buyers can choose to build on one of the remaining lots available, including some with walk-out basements.
