Move-in-ready Castleton model offers plenty of upgrades

But for those who choose to build in this Marietta neighborhood, Keystone Custom Homes has a new promotion that makes luxury options more affordable

For homebuyers who want to live in a quintessential American neighborhood, now is the perfect time to buy a home in Castleton, Keystone Custom Homes’ Traditional Neighborhood Community in Marietta.
Castleton is a throwback to simpler times. No two homes are alike, and all come with porches, architectural shingles and shutters or wide-trim that exude a small-town charm.
The community itself, a mix of 187 single-family homes and 44 townhomes, is designed with that small-town feel. Homes start in the $170s.
For those who don’t want to take the time to build, the designer model home, showcasing some of Keystone’s most popular upgrades, is now available as a quick move-in home. The home, a charming two-story Franklin Heritage with an inviting front porch and detached garage, has 1,548 square feet of living space.
The standard Franklin includes a one-car garage and one and a half baths, but the model has been expanded to include a two-car garage and an additional full bath in the owner’s suite.
The first floor includes a study with French doors opening to the upgraded wrap-around porch.
At the rear of the house, a sunny kitchen/dining area with bay windows overlooks the family room. A 9-foot sliding glass door leads to the landscaped patio under the shade of a pergola.
The first floor also includes a laundry, powder room and coat closet.
Upstairs, three bedrooms each come with their own walk-in closet. In addition to its own full bath with tile shower and body spray system, the owner’s suite also includes three picture windows. The remaining bedrooms share a second full bath.
The Franklin is priced at $259,912, which includes more than $105,000 in luxury options, according to Keystone new home advisor Jim Buchanan. Among them are the pergola, flagstone patio, wraparound porch, gas fireplace and landscaping.
But for those who choose to build in Castleton, adding some of those luxury options is now easier than ever. Keystone’s newest promotion, Dream Dollars, allows new homebuyers to select $20,000 in options of their choice, in addition to receiving $5,000 toward closing costs.
That could mean anything from a classic kitchen upgrade to hardwood floors, double crown molding and brushed nickel finishes.
“There are endless options. It’s how you want to spend it,” says Keystone marketing manager Emily Mace.
All Keystone’s options are a la carte, so buyers only pay for what they want or what they need. “It’s very personalized to each buyer,” Mace says.
And for additional savings, if you refer a friend who ends up building a home, Keystone will give you a $1,000 gas card, while your friend will get an additional $1,000 in luxury options for their new home.
Currently, there are about 30 homesites remaining in Castleton. Homes are available in a manor style, with rear-loading garages, or estate style, with front-loading garages. Only two estate sites are available.
But Castleton is more than simply a neighborhood of homes. That feeling of small-town charm goes deeper than the architecture.
Castleton has three parks (including two with playgrounds), walking trails, a clubhouse with pool, a gym, and its own pizza shop and Subway that deliver within the community.
There are also community gatherings, such as the annual Easter egg hunt, and a community barbecue, sponsored by Keystone, that will take place later this spring or summer.
Castleton is in the Donegal School District. Homes start in the $170s, and there is a quarterly homeowners association fee of $110.
The model home is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, 1 to 6 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.
Castleton’s new model home, a Parade of Home entry with a 2,600-square-foot Wyndham floor plan, will open in June.
