Something for Everyone at Keystone’s Devon Creek

One of the beauties of Keystone Custom Homes’ Devon Creek community is that it offers something for every kind of homebuyer.
The traditional neighborhood off Route 23 in East Lampeter Township will have a mix of single-family homes, duplexes, townhomes and apartments, all in a community carefully planned to maximize aesthetics and convenience.
Many homes are designed with rear-loading garages to create a streetscape that is both more attractive and less congested, says new home advisor Ben Rutt.
And the second phase, expected to begin next spring, will include a clubhouse and eight acres of open space, including walking trails and “parkettes,” so residents will have easy access to recreational areas.
Currently, however, there are only two opportunities remaining to purchase a home in the first phase.
Keystone is showcasing all that Devon Creek has to offer in the upcoming Parade of Homes, June 13 to 21.
Devon Creek will feature two entries in the Parade – the model home, a semi-detached Waterford floor plan, and the Richmond, a three-story, single-family home.
They reflect some of the widely different living options available in the neighborhood.
The model, with its wraparound porch and 2,064 square feet of living space, has the feel of a single-family home. A new floor plan for Keystone, the Waterford is designed for one-floor living and features a first-floor owner’s suite that includes a walk-in closet and tile bath with double-bowl sink and tile shower.
The kitchen/dining area opens into a two-story great room with gas fireplace and plenty of windows to let in natural light.
The first floor also includes a study, powder room and laundry.
Upstairs, an open loft area suitable for office space or other uses overlooks the great room below. Homebuyers can choose to enclose that loft area and opt for a one-story great room, Rutt says. The second floor also includes two more bedrooms with walk-in closets, a full bath and storage closet.
Across the street, the Richmond offers a townhouse-style living design in a single-family home, Rutt says. “This is really a modern home for a modern buyer.”
The three-story home features a tucked-under two-car garage with primary living space on the second floor.
The first-floor entrance includes a foyer with access to the garage and a bonus room, perfect for anything from an office to a media room to a play room.
The second floor features an open floor plan with a living room, a kitchen and a dining area leading out to a 6-by-24-foot composite deck, standard on the Richmond model.
The kitchen includes stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, tile backsplash, soft-close drawers and a counter with bar seating. The sink is behind the bar, so that anyone standing at it will be looking out into the living area.
“This is really the life of the home,” Rutt says.
The third floor includes an owner’s suite with bath and walk-in closet, two additional bedrooms and an additional full bath.
At 1,831 square feet, the Richmond is priced at $262,912
In addition to the Richmond, one other quick-delivery home is available for sale in Devon Creek – another semi-detached Waterford, similar to the model. That home is priced at $269,912.
Buyers who purchase one of the quick-delivery homes by June 30 will receive an electric washer and dryer, a stainless steel refrigerator and their choice of custom paint throughout the home or blinds throughout the home.
Additionally, homebuyers in Devon Creek are guaranteed a $50 per month homeowner’s association fee for the first five years. That fee will cover maintenance of open space, as well as trash removal and clubhouse and pool membership when the clubhouse is complete.
Now in its first phase, Devon Creek eventually will have a total of 225 homes.
Single-family homes start in the low $200s and range in size from 1,650 square feet to about 2,600 square feet. Attached homes start in the $260s.
The neighborhood is in the Conestoga Valley School District. Model home hours are 1 to 6 p.m. Monday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.
Directions from Lancaster: Travel east on New Holland Pike, then turn right on Hornig Road and left on Hampshire Avenue. The model is on the right.
