With few homes remaining, 55-plus Lititz community nears sellout
With its award-winning homes, resort-style amenities and close proximity to downtown Lititz, Traditions of America at Lititz has long been in high demand.
But for anyone who has considered a move to this popular 55+ community, Vice President of Marketing Jay Goldberg has three simple words:
“Now’s the time.”
After several high sales months, only 38 homes remain in the community, which will have a total of 329 homes when complete.
“Suddenly you realize one day, this community is within a year of selling out,” Goldberg says. “By the end of the year we’ll have 20 homes left, maybe less.”
There are many reasons Traditions of America is such a popular destination for those 55 and over, Goldberg says.
In addition to its award-winning customizable Single Family and Garden Homes, Traditions offers a low-maintenance lifestyle that includes a variety of amenities.
Outdoors, homeowners can enjoy Tennis/Pickle Ball Courts, a putting green, horseshoes and bocce ball, a paved walking path and a village green complete with a gazebo, benches and a fountain.
An 8,000-square-foot Clubhouse, the hub of the community, features a gathering room with fireplace, Fitness Center, Yoga Studio, Massage Room, Saunas, a Sports Bar & Lounge tended by homeowners, a Library/Gaming Room, Full Kitchen, Dining Room and Club Room. The Clubhouse recently completed an expansion to provide even more space for community events.
“We have a great lifestyle. If people look at the videos on our website, they see our customers talking about the friendships they’ve gained and the fun they have living in a community like this,” Goldberg says. “It’s just a whole different way of living that’s far more about the lifestyle than it is about the homes.
“On the other hand,” Goldberg says, “we like to brag about our homes.”
That’s because Traditions of America provides an on-site Design Studio with a professional designer who will walk buyers through the customization process, from fixtures and finishes to structural modifications, in order to create the home of their dreams.
Traditions offers flexibility in the home purchasing process as well.
As part of its Buying Made Easy program, the community offers HomeFree, a contingency program designed to ensure that a buyer will never own two homes at the same time. Buyers have the safety net of knowing that if their existing home does not sell within a year of signing a contract, Traditions will refund their money.
The community currently has 32 Single Family detached homes and 6 Garden Homes available to build. For those who want to make buying even easier, there are also two move-in-ready designer model homes for sale.
“A lot of people are moving from a home that they’ve lived in for many years. For some it does take time to make that decision,” Goldberg says. “Once they make it … they say, ‘I can’t believe we didn’t do this sooner.’ ”
Traditions of America is planning to host an open house event this fall where visitors can meet homeowners and experience the community lifestyle.
But you don’t have to wait until then to check out all the community has to offer.
Through Traditions of America’s Try Before You Buy program, prospective homeowners can spend a weekend in the community’s guest house. They will also be paired with homeowner ambassadors who will take them to dinner and other activities, as well as answer questions about the community
