Meadows at Featherton makes debut in E-town

Community near Route 283 offers convenient location, move-in ready options

When it comes to location, the Meadows at Featherton is in a sweet spot for local commuters.

The new single-home community in Elizabethtown, just minutes from the Rheems/Elizabethtown interchange of Route 283, is about midway between Lancaster and Harrisburg and a short drive from Hershey.

“I am receiving inquiries from customers working in Harrisburg, Hershey and Lancaster,” says Dean Wimer of Lusk & Associates Sotheby’s International Realty, listing agent for the Meadows at Featherton. “In some households they work in different cities, but this location makes it easy to commute both ways. Plus, they can have more job opportunities in other areas without moving or adding time to their commute.”

While it’s in a great location for those who have to commute, there are plenty of reasons to love coming home to the Meadows at Featherton, too.

The community consists of 45 single-home lots, along with walking paths and a tot lot.

The homes, by Lancaster Home Builders, include gas heat, a kitchen island, granite countertops, rounded bullnose corners on drywall, large first-floor baseboards and windows trimmed with window sills as standard features.

Buyers currently can choose from six floor plans, most of which include an entirely open first floor, Wimer says.  Most homes are priced in the low $300s.

Three homes in the community have already been sold.

Two move-in-ready homes will be available in the coming weeks.

The first, a four-bedroom two-story at 805 Westbrooke Drive, features a granite kitchen island with breakfast seating, a mudroom with closet and half bath, a convenient second-floor laundry room and a double-bowl sink in the master bath.

At 2,082 square feet, the home is priced at $299,500.

The second, a four-bedroom two-story at 803 Westbrooke Drive, features a granite island with seating, a den/office, an open floor plan flowing from the living room to the dining room, and a welcome center in the mud room. The second-floor owner’s suite includes dual sinks and a walk in closet. The spacious laundry room is also on the second floor.

At 2,080 square feet, the home is priced at $307,190.

A quarterly homeowners association fee of $50 covers detention ponds, mowing of common grounds, and maintenance of walking paths and open space.

Meadows at Featherton is located in the Elizabethtown Area School District.
